Cassondra & Wes – A colorful Country Manor Estate wedding

The setting was something out of a movie; an historic elegant country manor estate located along the Sacramento River. cassondra-wes However, Cassondra & Wes put a fun twist on the movie setting by marrying underneath an oak tree, incorporating bright colors, long wood harvest tables, croquet and lawn games, a photo booth and a tons of fun. It was a beautiful evening with a very in-love couple who know how to celebrate their togetherness and bring their circle of family and friends together.

Allison & Scott – My very own daughter marries!! So cool!

After 12 years together (high school sweethearts!), my daughter and her honey decided to tie the knot in a touching, emotional, and heartfelt ceremony (not a dry eye in the house) and was then followed by a lively celebration.Allison & Scott - My very own daughter marries!! So cool! And I felt my daughter was the most beautiful bride I’ve ever seen (of course I did!). Yes, I planned the event alongside Allison, and we hardly had any squabbles or differences… not to say there wasn’t a few eye rolls on both our parts! But we really did enjoy the planning process. Allison and Scott chose to marry in an intimate venue that was romantic, handsome and charming. They decided on the color palette of platinum gray accented by shades of gray and yellow along with mixing “metals” of silver and gold and of course lots of candles played a role. A photo booth provided great entertainment and the evening ended with a sparkler exit – fun times! Thank you Allison & Scott for asking me to be your planner {wink} You dad and I wish you many years of wedded bliss!

Crysten & Sam ~ A Beautiful Couple; a Gorgeous Wedding

They first met in high school and were boyfriend/girlfriend for many years… finally the big day came. Dressing and photos occurred at the Citizen Hotel in the 14th floor Penthouse Suite (beautiful views), Crysten-Samand then the bride, groom and bridal party happily walked the short 2 blocks to the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament where a beautiful mass (with joyful tears) was held incorporating the traditions of Crysten’s Hispanic heritage. For the dinner and dancing reception, we returned to the Citizen’s Metropolitan Terrace where guests were wowed by the purple color palette. The focus was on the stunning bridal party head table we created (love those orchids!), and on the equally stunning wedding cake. Fun and Frivolity followed the dinner and everybody were very happy. Congrats Crysten & Sam!!

Janine & Tyrone – Simple Country Luxury

This video is such a delight to watch! Janine and Ty married out in the county having a wedding described as “Country Luxury.” Janine & Tyrone - Simple Country LuxuryThe Inn at Park Winters is located in Winters, California, just about an hour from Sacramento – with a magnificent Victorian house and gardens that can be relaxed and casual, or dressed up to the ‘nth degree! We designed the wedding ceremony to be in the round, with family and friends encircling the couple, and then a sumptuous family style dining experience followed. Flowers and décor were in shades or orange, peach, corals and yellow with the use of metals complimenting the flowers. Loved-loved how we designed the dessert table with so many unique items, plus a sweet wedding cake for cutting. There was lots of dancing and a great sparkler exit. This wedding is one of my favorites.

Elizabeth & Dan ~ A Blend of Tradition and Hip Style

I love an enthusiastic, trendy, lively bride and Elizabeth was certainly that… and more! Dan & Elizabeth selected the beautiful Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament for their elegant and traditional wedding, but when it came to their reception – wow, off the hook! Held at the Crocker Art Museum, the guests were greeted with a (very) full bar, delicious appetizers and then a sumptuous dinner served family style. The decor was modern, edgy, created in shades of whites with silver accents and using 3 different table linens for an eclectic vibe. The grand entrance, toasting, and dancing was over the top with emotion and happiness. This was a wonderful wedding!

A Napa Valley Big Fat Persian Wedding

When Negin & Tony first came to me, their wedding plans were kind of “flat and not exciting.” They didn’t know exactly what they wanted and were kind of at a loss, but they had selected the fabulous Villagio-Vintage Estates in Yountville, Napa Valley. Well, let me tell you… by the time the big day came around, they were very excited and had many elements planned for the day. From a fantastic Sofreh laid out and planned by the women elders of Negin’s family, to fantastic aqua linens, bright flowers, white leather lounge furniture, a crazy photo booth, Cuban cigar rolling, and very enthusiastic dancing. What fun! Video courtesy of Jensen Wedding Films.

Katie & Nick’s Autumn Wedding Day

Katie & Nick were married at the Citizen Hotel. Views from the Penthouse Suite overlooking downtown Sacramento are terrific and that’s where they held their “first look”. Katie wanted a lovely autumnal wedding – but not pumpkins and oak leaf clusters… more refined, and I do believe we pulled off the perfect look for their November wedding day. Candles, crimson red, amber lighting, rich seasonal florals and fabric textures combined to create the perfect look. The bridal party surprised the couple with “bubble guns” for the Grand Entrance… which made quite a happy impression… and the bubbles continued off and on throughout the dancing! Darbie & Dave’s Lake Tahoe Wedding

Having enjoyed the Lake Tahoe basin with all it’s splendor, Dave proposed to Darbie while on a Rubicon Trail hike (a big surprise!), and then the decision became very clear – let’s marry at Lake Tahoe – specifically Incline Village. This Same Day Edit, which was shown immediately after dinner on their wedding day, starts off with preparations at the Hyatt Hotel in Incline Village, then the wonderful Catholic Mass at St. Francis of Assisi Church, and leads them through the grand entrance and first dance at The Chateau, Incline Village. What a fun-filled day – full of the color orange (fantastic design!), family unity, lots of love and togetherness. Video courtesy of Final Frame Studios.

Becca & Dustins Peackock Delight

This colorful wedding was so wonderful! Held at Becca’s childhood home, we pulled out all the stops to create a fun-filled, visually beautiful and unique wedding day. Spanish Moss was hung from the trees to create a bit of Southern charm, and we offered Mint Juleps as the guests first arrived. Becca and Dustin’s little flower girl daughter joined them at the alter – being pulled in a flower and feather laden wagon with a sign written in calligraphy stating – “Here Comes the Bride.” With Becca’s color palette, the Peacock feather was the obvious detail choice… and we carried it off beautifully! Sara & Kyle – Aloha From Napa Valley!

The nicest couple ever! In watching this video, you’ll feel the kindness, enthusiasm and love of family throughout this wonderful wedding. Sara and Kyle blended their two main loves in creating the wedding theme… Napa Valley/Wine and Tropics. The Harvest Inn, in St. Helena, California was the perfect venue for their weekend destination wedding. Prior to the bride processing down the aisle, the dad exchanged “the call” on conch shells. Sara’s mom and dad performed a touching hula for the newlyweds! Video courtesy of Heritage Video, Inc. Watch the Movie

Laurie & Eric’s Tropic Reception

Password to view video: hawaii

This very fun and energetic couple married in Hawaii with 25 guests attending, but they wanted to celebrate in true “Island Style” with their many family and friends in their home town, Sacramento. We were fortunate enough to be involved in this production by creating a wonderful party atmosphere at the Sterling Hotel, complete with beautiful orchid leis, fantastic lighting for an “under the sea” effect, and even Tahitian Dancers and drummers! Turn up the volume and enjoy the experience! Video courtesy of Phillip Alan Films. Watch the Movie
