Liz and Dan’s wedding had the complete package.  A traditional elegant Catholic wedding service with a modern rockin’ get down p-a-r-t-y.  After a First Look on the 14th Floor Balcony of downtown Sacramento’s chic Citizen Hotel, photos and merriment continued with their bridal party as they walked en masse down the K Street Mall to the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament.  Fun!  The Cathedral needs very little embellishment; a candlelit center aisle is all that was created for this evening ceremony.

Liz’s florist created two bridal bouquets.  One a bit avant-garde for photos, and one more traditional (with a twist) for the ceremony. The reception was held at the Crocker Art Museum for the dinner and dancing portion to the evening. I loved the “room divider” separating the cocktail space from the dining space. Birch branches, calla lily stems and curly willow made for a cool looking art piece befitting the Crocker. The color palette was very contemporary yet soothing and quite fitting in the all white room.  Taupe, gray, ivory, cream and hints of light green were implemented throughout.  Liz selected LaTavola table linens of three different patterns (can you spot where all are used?) and two awesome centerpiece designs. Dan and Liz had some serious fun!  I was just a little bit afraid a couple of times!!
