Stephanie and Ron selected their wedding day to fall on the wedding anniversary of Stephanie’s (deceased) grandparents. Home and family, and the love of gardening was a passion Stephanie shared with her grandparents, so it seemed only natural to hold the wedding at the couple’s Fair Oaks, CA, home. There were many beautiful outdoorsy touches I just loved…the garden gate heart-shaped wreath, a cute potting shed where gifts were placed with a front door sign reading “Once Upon a Lifetime.” Guests mingled and enjoyed lemonade and wrote their wish for the couple to hang from the Wish Tree (along with a perfect pearl-studded R and S.) The 80 guests encircled the couple as they exchanged their vows, and all released stunning Monarch butterflies at the conclusion of the ceremony. Flowers were placed in rustic galvanized tubs and Mason jars, and garden pathways were lined with candles in varying sizes of jars. A truly spectacular wedding cake took center stage, decorated with a pearlescent vine and leaf pattern and I added colorful silk butterflies as accent. Guests enjoyed dancing under the stars and celebrating all the many wishes bestowed upon the newlyweds.
