Lani and Shay are quite the sophisticated couple and they wished for a traditional, elegant, non-fussy wedding. Marriage vows were exchanged during an evening candlelit nuptial mass at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church and to continue the theme of simplicity… they chose to forego a wedding party. Lani was stunning in a Badgley Mischka gown with an absolutely incredible Mantilla style veil. And, I so adore her orchid bouquet… just gorgeous! The newlyweds travelled in classic style in a black 1939 Cadillac Limousine to the Firehouse Restaurant in Old Sacramento. Guests were greeted with champagne and caviar and sat at long tables displaying great quantities of candles and the theme of black and white continued. Each table was named for a character from their favorite movie, Casa Blanca. Music for the evening fit in quite well with their theme, as an elegant pianist played from a beautiful Baby Grand. The talented baker sketched the cake design which I took and framed after adding in the flavor information… the cake was an exact match to the sketch. Stunning!
