Tropical Paradise
The beautiful Sterling Hotel, Sacramento, CA was the site for this sophisticated tropical reception celebration of Laurie & Eric who married a month earlier on the Big Island of Hawaii. Guests were greeted with an orchid lei and Blue Hawaiian cocktails as they stepped into a stunning room bathed in theatrical lighting of blues and greens. Laurie & Eric love to snorkel and wanted their guests to have an “under the water” feel. A water rippling effect was projected on the ceiling, with an occasional school of fish swimming by – awesome! Elaborate Annabelle vases containing Monstera leaves, with white and fuchsia dendrobian orchids and hanging crystals adorned the blue/green iridescent guest tables, along with perfect seashells and candles. To bring the Hawaii experience to Sacramento Tahitian dancers performed to the beat of Hawaiian drummers – it was a wonderful floor show! Guests dined from a sumptuous buffet of jumbo prawns, teriyaki glazed chicken, crisp salads, fresh fruits and at the request of the groom… a full roasted pig with apple in mouth. More awesome!
