Richness of Gold

The grand Empire Mine State Park, in Grass Valley, CA, in front of the historic “Cottage,” was the site for the charming wedding of Jamie & Chris. With forest surrounding the park, natural elements such as the tall twig stands that held the alter arrangements, were used. A symbolic sand ceremony was performed between Jamie & Chris representing the blending of their two lives, and their two daughters, and then a stunning Monarch butterfly release was held right after the sand ceremony. I love the bond between mom and the adorable flower girls (soon to be step-sisters). The reception was held at the historic, one-of-a-kind Miners Foundry in Nevada City. Jamie wanted richness to this rustic stone building, and so we brought in gold linens and tall wrought iron candelabras brimming with lush florals and hanging amaranthus. The huge fireplace is very prominent in this building with an excellent mantle to decorate. The butterfly element was carried forth on the menu cards, as well as to the gorgeous wedding cake. The room glowed in richness.
