The decision was made after Dave proposed to Darbie while on a Rubicon Trail hike – to marry at Lake Tahoe – specifically Incline Village on the North Shore.  On wedding morning, preparations began at the conveniently located Hyatt Hotel. A truly awesome full nuptial mass was held at the St. Francis of Assisi Church with floor to ceiling alter windows showcasing the Tahoe splendor.

After the ceremony, photos were taken along the shores of the lake on a private dock and beach.  The weather was gorgeous! The reception was held at the mountain lodge style Chateau Incline Village where really yummy and beautifully displayed appetizers were served on the fantastic balcony overlooking the golf course and lake.

Darbie loves the fun bright color scheme of orange.  From the wooden love birds (a re-occurring theme), to the DIY signs, the linens, and of course the gorgeous flowers! Even the string-art heart for place cards (another DIY project) was in orange. The best addition however, was the theatrical lighting effects inside the Chateau.

While some enjoyed the tasty treats of the s’mores station outside on the balcony, others got their groove on and danced the night away!
