The day started off for Kathleen & Adam with a full Catholic Nuptial Mass and then their 375 guests headed off to celebrate at Kathleen’s parent’s home and ranch just a few miles away in Carmichael, CA. The family raises donkeys, mules, horses (even zebras!) on the ranch property, and so two mules wearing saddlebags containing iced waters and beer were the “official greeters”. The main focus to the backyard was the 5,000 square foot white tent – it was magnificent. The hanging floral spheres were HUGE and visually stunning along with the color scheme of sage green and apricot, with natural elements, bringing in the beauty of the surrounding ranch landscape. My favorite touch – the cake topper from Kathleen’s parent’s wedding. The couple and guests danced to the 80’s tribute band, Tainted Love, and most did not realize they were dancing over a swimming pool that had been constructed and covered during the previous week. One of the highpoints to the evening happened in an intimate corner of the property in the “Cigar Grotto.” You guessed it… aged Scotch and cigars were enjoyed. I love the lighted pathway of luminaries.
