Lulu and Conrad had many wonderful visually- appealing details! We started at Embassy Suites in Old Sacramento for dressing and walked through the historic streets to Courtyard D’Oro for the wedding and reception. Love the girls dresses and jazzy shoes, and these images of the First Look make me smile (how can you not when looking at Lulu’s beaming radiance). The family worked together on decor items – Lulu and her mom folded colorful origami paper cranes and Conrad’s family hung the festive paper lanterns across the courtyard. This was a destination wedding for many, travelling from Guam, Taiwan, and across the U.S. A form of the traditional tea ceremony was performed within the wedding (rather than held separately prior to) which was lovely. After the ceremony the newlyweds took photos in various scenic spots of Old Sacramento while their guests were enjoying libations and an open air “photo booth.” The purple hued reception room was gorgeous with a perfectly appointed Great Table for the bridal party, and the purple tone of the ombre design on the wedding cake was outstanding. Lulu is Chinese and Conrad is Filipino… they met while in high school in Guam, so many traditions were incorporated – including a roasted pig for the buffet and a Guamanian dance performance. And from the looks of smiling faces, the happy couple also enjoyed the traditional money dance – wowza!
