On a clear crisp November morning, Michelle & Kyle exchanged wedding vows in the handsomely appointed Colt Room of Granite Bay Golf Club. This was a daytime wedding, but the rich dark wood paneling of the library made for an intimate, romantic, candlelit ceremony. I love that Michelle chose two colors for the bridesmaids’ dresses. Her MOH wore sage green with brown ribbon sash and her two bridesmaids wore reverse colors. The bouquets complimented the dresses perfectly! With a gentle nod to the fall season, the table linens were ivory with a tone-on-tone leaf pattern. Glass beaded chargers held a sage green and chocolate brown menu card slipped into the napkin fold, and a delicious chocolate covered strawberry was tucked into the sweet favor box. Dark walnut Chivari chairs grounded the room with richness and warmth. The centerpiece design was unique in that a collection of glassware was displayed including an apothecary jar, candlesticks, and a candy bowl filled with color coordinated confections. After guests enjoyed Champagne mimosas, a cheese course, and a fantastic buffet luncheon, the newlyweds cut into the spectacular wedding cake with chocolate brown scroll work, adorned with exquisite sugar flowers. Fun and frivolity followed with dancing and singing. The garter toss was quite fun in that the groom, a huge football fan, slipped the just-removed garter over a football (autographed by the newlyweds). The mad scramble to catch the garter was very amusing. The bridal party thoroughly enjoyed decorating the “get away” car before couple left the reception for a honeymoon in Lake Tahoe.
