This last weekend I met up with a couple of Gal Pals at lovely Lake Tahoe. Our friend has a cabin at North Shore, and so we cooked, made fab appetizers, drank wine (one gal is a serious martini drinker), we sat around and talked, and talked, flipped a few pages of magazines and discussed “world affairs.” Good times! We had planned an outing on the Tahoe Gal, a very comfortable, sweet boat that cruises the lake. We were on a 3 1/2 hour cruise from North Shore up and around Emerald Bay and back. I have had a few brides inquire about smaller weddings and lake cruises, so I wanted to investigate this particular vessel. Very nice. You can rent the boat for your entire wedding and reception, for up to 135 (although I feel 100 would be a bit more comfortable). Their menu and wine list and peeking into the galley was most impressive. The views of the sailboats, crystal clear “Tahoe Blue” water, and the shoreline from the open air deck, or sitting at lovely tables in the main salon, was beautiful. The prices seemed reasonable, too. A dinner charter starts at $70.00 per person and includes the three hour cruise. There are different bar options available.
That’s moi poising as a “Tahoe Gal.”
The views are stunning. It’s very relaxing. However, with a DJ on board, the dancing can be lots of fun and high energy. But also imagine how romantic standing at the rail and gazing at a full moon and the stars. Ahhhhh…
I took this sweet picture off the Tahoe Gal’s website to show what a great venue this place might be for a Lake Tahoe wedding. “Picture you here.”
