Over the weekend, I met with one of my couples as we detailed the menu, bar arrangements, and timeline for their event. As we discussed the ending dance with exit strategy, my bride was very excited about having a sparkler exit. I love them! She envisioned it!! We planned it!!!
Until the groom said NO! He is an area firefighter, and he perfectly well knew that the location where their reception is to be held, is a “no fireworks zone.” Oops. Back up there. What? It is true, that certain areas within the state and your community have regulations, and it might be wise to check into this before making your purchase, planning the usage, and then possibly getting “busted” (or the facility getting in hot water). So, we have opted for a lovely candlelighted pathway from the reception door out to the waiting limo. Beautiful! And a fairly good compromise.
