Cigar Bars – quite the rage
It has been quite a trend lately, to set up a Cigar Bar during the reception. Three of my spring-summer couples incorporated them into the festivities. It is best if your reception is in the “great outdoors” and a corner of the venue can be dedicated to this enjoyable addition to a wonderful evening. I referred to this area as the Cigar Grotto and made a chalkboard sign to direct the guests.
Often times my clients will supply wonderfully aged Scotch or delicious Ports to accompany the assortment of cigars and cigarillos. Be sure to include ash trays, cigar cutters (several of them), lighters, and a few comfortable chairs or lounge furniture. Let the smokin’ fun begin!
However, be warned… this is such a treat and a big draw, that often times the DJ has to work really hard to keep the guests on the dance floor! And, if you believe the Cigar Bar is frequented by just the men… think again! Many of the women enjoy savoring a Cuban Honey!!

I love this trend!! What about offering it during the cocktail hour only? Would that help with the dance floor dilemma?
