You should see the stunning blue eyes of both Cassie & Matt. Gorgeous! And so was this wonderful blue striped wedding held on the Delta King in Old Sacramento, CA. Cassie is orginally from Buffalo, New York and a fairly recent Sacramento resident; she wanted to show off her new home city to out-of-town family and friends – introducing them to the rich history of Sacramento and also house them on an authentic river boat… it became a floating party boat!
Love the reflection in the window!
The ceremony was held on The Landing along side the Delta King. Sarah with Cuttings Floral Design created the ceremonial alter design – keeping with the blue striped theme. Love this look – simple but still a statement maker!
Cassie & Matt do enjoy a good party… thus for favors, guests received personalized colbalt blue shot glasses… which we then used a paper lime wedge for the place card. So fun!
Even the custom table linens received the striped treatment – tone on tone ivory stripes. Centerpiece florals were made of soft ivory hydranga, peonies and roses, along with green accents, and colbalt blue and gold flaked votives accompanied the centerpieces.
Yup…a personalized cake topper showing Cassie and Matt’s profession – she in her hospital scrubs with stethoscope and he in his engineering hard hat with drawings. The showstopper cake was created by Patrick of Village Cake Shoppe – blue stripes, PLUS touches of bling… what’s not to love?
Love the forks – “I Do” “Me Too” – this is a little gift I give to my couples. It was particularly appropriate because Cassie was sure Matt would smash the cake. By using forks, likely that won’t happen!
The guest “book.”
And in case you don’t believe me… are their blue eyes not incredible?? Dreamy. Congrats Cassie & Matt… the wedding was PERFECT, and you two are absolutely a wonderful pair. I’m going to miss working with you!
Thank you Miss Sarah, of Sarah Dawson Photography for these fabulous photos. Man, that girl can move from bow to stern and starboard to port – up and down, in and out. There is a lot to photograph on the Delta King!
