Lora has been involved in the Northern California wedding industry for over 25 years. Her beginnings were “in the trenches.” While attending high school and college in Sacramento, California, she was an active member of her Presbyterian church. The youth group assisted the ladies (and Marinerships) of the church with luncheons, teas, wedding receptions, and political fundraisers – from working in the kitchen, arranging flowers, cutting cake, to serving tables. She was quick, efficient, organized and delighted in the process of taking a blank slate and creating the event planned.

With Lora’s early years of experience and her drive, she started A Day to Remember Wedding Consultants in her late 20’s. With hundred of weddings, anniversary parties, renewal of vows, baby showers and other social events successfully completed, she continues to be excited, enthused, motivated and creative with her passion. Lora has planned and coordinated weddings from 30 to 500 guests, and will travel to other destinations. A Day to Remember is one of Sacramento’s premier wedding coordination and event planning companies.

As a wedding planner, Lora listens to her clients, and through a series of questionnaires, profiles and discussions, she learns a great deal about the personality of the bride and groom. What her clients do not want for the wedding is as important as the “wish list.”

Garden settings, theme events, unique design and “non-cookie-cutter” style weddings are Lora’s specialty.

Vendor selections are provided to the client with no commissions accepted or kick-backs paid.

Lora is a member of the Association of Bridal Consultants (ABC), the Association for Wedding Professionals Int'l. (AFWPi), the National Association of Catering Executives (NACE) and has been selected to be a Dynamite Vendor with Dynamite Weddings. She is a requested speaker for these organizations, participates in wedding workshops, and is highly recognized as a professional in her field.
